COATS TO COVET THIS SEASON

Updated: Oct 10

Autumn is my favourite season of the year! I love the changes this season brings from the leaves falling off the trees turning into pretty orangey, red tones. To the colder temperatures which mean we can look forward to wearing our much loved snuggly jumpers, enjoying warm log fires and drinking pumpkin spiced lattes.

Even though we are currently experiencing some in-between weather, it’s definitely time to buy the most important item of clothing that will be keeping you warm throughout autumn and winter

Your coat will be seen more than any other item of clothing in Autumn and Winter so it’s worth investing in a good one. Whether you like muted tones or like to make a statement with brighter colours it’s so important to choose the right one for your body shape.

Here is my edit of the some of the coats to covet this season on high-street to suit different body shapes. Leopard print is awash on the high street, it's one of the biggest trends for Autumn and Winter. If you you want to make a statement this is the print to wear. The double breasted works well on lean, hourglass or pear shapes.

This Mango coat is a timeless classic. The clean lines and camel tone makes this a great everyday coat.

This style and cut is perfect for Pear shapes with enough room for your gorgeous hips, and the wide belt also helps to define the waist. The bigger lapels help to balance out your lower half to create a beautiful hourglass shape.

This style coat is great for petites. Cropped lengths and slim fits help to lengthen a petite frame. Bulky coats tend to drown a small frame so look out for medium pile fabrics. Red single breasted formal coat from New Look.

Tip: Bright block colours are big this season. Try adding a splash of print in the form of a scarf to clash with your bold coloured coats.
