Planning a summer holiday is exciting, the sunshine, the cocktails, the beach days… I’m always counting down the days! But if you’re anything like many of my clients, the excitement can quickly turn into “Oh no… what on earth am I going to pack?”

Packing for a summer holiday can feel very stressful. You open your suitcase and suddenly you’re thinking: What if I need this? What if we go somewhere fancy? What if I want options?

Before you know it, you’ve packed half your wardrobe and the suitcase barely closes!

Many women love filling their suitcase with anything they can squeeze in just in case. The problem is, you arrive on holiday with lots of clothes but still feel like you have nothing to wear.

The secret to a great holiday wardrobe isn’t packing more, it’s packing smarter.

A little planning goes a long way. Before you start buying or packing, think about:

• What the weather will actually be like

• Lightweight fabrics that will keep you cool (cotton, linen, viscose)

• How many evening outfits you’ll really need

• Whether you’ll be doing excursions or sightseeing

• And most importantly — whether your outfits can mix and match easily

When your pieces work together, you can create lots of outfits without overpacking.

Most of the styles I’ve selected come from high street brands that offer a wider size range, so whether you’re a size 8 or a size 20 you should find something that works for you. I’ve also chosen pieces that tend to suit lots of different body shapes.

A quick tip from me, don’t leave holiday shopping until the last minute. Summer holiday pieces tend to sell out quickly on the high street, so if you see something you love it’s best to grab it while it’s available.

A few extra packing tips I always share with my clients:

Stick to a colour palette Choose 2–3 main colours and one neutral so everything mixes and matches.

Choose day-to-night pieces A dress that works with sandals in the day and heels in the evening is perfect. This way you maximise wear from key pieces

Use accessories to change your look Jewellery, belts and bags can completely transform an outfit. I love a splash of gold accessories with my summer holiday looks.

Pack one “feel amazing” outfit The one that makes you feel confident. It's could be a dress or jumpsuit. I personally love a Co-ord as they are super great option that also give you multiple outfit looks

Keep shoes simple You usually only need three pairs: Day sandals, Evening sandals or wedges, Trainers or comfy shoes for exploring.
